Timeline of the process
- Pre-Placement Talks (PPTs): Our institution facilitates interaction between students and
companies through Pre-Placement Talks (PPTs). These talks serve as a platform for both
parties to find the best match according to their aspirations and requirements. We
prioritize effective communication by providing the latest technical equipment such as
audio-visual facilities, LCD projectors, overhead projectors (OHPs), TV/VCR, and other
special equipment on campus upon request. Additionally, our campus is equipped with
video conferencing facilities. To obtain the dates for the PPTs, please reach out to the
Placement Office. We deeply appreciate any company that takes the time to get to know
our students better and provides an opportunity for our students to reciprocate.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV): We maintain a standard format for all students applying to
various companies. Companies can request CVs (Curriculum Vitae) in our Institute's
format or specify their preferred format, either in hard copies or soft copies.
- Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs):
- A Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) is a highly sought-after job offer given to students after
their summer internships, before the final placements.
- IITRAM students are permitted to undergo internship for a maximum of 8 weeks during
their summer after the end of even semester between the month of May to July. This 8-
week (approximately 2 months) exposure allows both the organization and the student to
assess their compatibility.
- Companies can inform the Institute of their decision to offer PPOs before the Placement
Week begins.
- If a company does not have any internal rules governing this process, the students'
decisions will be communicated to the company either after the Placement Week or
during their assigned time slot. It is important to note that job offers are considered valid
only when the Placement Office receives written communication. Verbal or telephonic
communication will not be considered as job offers.
- The final offers for respective candidates will be announced only at the designated
day/time slots. Delay or failure to do so may result in the candidate being placed in
another company.
- The selected candidate's appointment letters should be sent (in duplicate) to the
Placement Office within 20 days (approximately 3 weeks) of the job offer made on
campus.
- Candidates acknowledge the job offer by signing their acceptance, which will be
promptly communicated to the company concerned.
