Prof. Pramod Kumar Jain is the Director General of IITRAM. Prof. Jain is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. Prior to joining IITRAM, Prof. Jain has served as a Director of IIT (BHU) Varanasi, Director (Additional Charge) of IIT Patna and Director of IIIT DM, Jabalpur. Prof. Jain has an excellent track record of performing administrative and academic responsibilities in the institutions that he has served in various capacities.

Prof. Jain has made significant contributions in the field of Manufacturing Systems & Engineering. In line with his with his research, Prof. Jain has received various awards and recognition few being Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering, Fellow of the Japanese Society for Promotion of Science, Fellow of IE, Indo-Netherlands Academic Exchange Fellowship and Career award for young Teachers.

Prof. Jain is excellent in planning and execution of high impact facilities such as infrastructure projects and research facilities. He has a proven track record of improving teaching, research, innovation and fund generation for the Institute.

Prof. Jain has a total of 35+ years of experience and 18+ years of experience as a Professor. He has performed the role as a Member of Academic Council/Senate, Executive Council/BoG and Member of various Professional/Academic Bodies
