Undergraduate Research
The Institute promotes the Undergraduate research to inculcate critical thinking, interpretive skills, and scientific exploration. The undergraduate courses are designed to integrate research and training, and project based learning across the disciplines. The undergraduate students are also involved in ongoing research projects, and also writing scholarly research articles with the guidance of faculty members. The Institute is also encouraging the Under Graduate Research through a scheme named Undergraduate Research Promotion (UROP) under which the students get financial assistance for purchasing the equipment to implement their novel idea or concept.
Undergraduate Research Award (URA)The student may be awarded URA award for exceptional work in B.Tech. project as under:
URA 1: For preliminary research/developmental experience in first three years of UG program with 2 credits (Not to be counted in CPI).
URA 2: For B.Tech. level Research Project [Without any additional credits) in recognition to exceptionally good work by measurable outputs such as Patents, Research papers, National recognition etc... The supervisor has to recommend for the award.
