The aim of powder bed fusion (PBF) process to manufacture a final exact metallic part or product straightforwardly from compute aided design which might be hard to create utilizing conventional existing methods. In spite of having unique capacity of PBF process, proper combination of factor for hardness of Inconel 718 (IN718) material is not still clear. In order to overcome this limitation, it is essential to identify the optimal parameter for the hardness response. For that, the metallic powder of IN718 was used to make specimen to examine the influence of process parameter on hardness. The hardness of the parts or product is especially basic essentialness for the PBF process. The aim of this study to determine influence of process parameters like laser power, layer thickness and scanning speed on the hardness. For this work, the adequacy test and analysis of variance test has been carried out. The desirability function approach was applied to find optimal factor for the said response.
