Numerical optimization technique in tribo-contacts is becoming crucial area of investigation during the last few years. This article illustrates the use of genetic algorithm optimization technique in textured hole-entry hybrid journal bearing system. In this paper, the texture surface parameters are optimized by multi-objective genetic algorithm to developed modified Reynolds equation. The modified Reynolds equation has been solved by finite element model for obtaining the bearing performance parameters. The static and dynamic performance parameters of hole-entry hybrid journal bearing have been simulated for non-textured, textured without GA and textured with GA surfaces. Based on the simulated results, the study indicates that the textured hole-entry journal bearing with genetic algorithm technique significantly enhanced the bearing performance.
