Injection moulding is a widely used process for the manufacturing of plastic products. Numerous plastics can be used in this process. Most of these plastics that are being used for this process are non-biodegradable, which further leads to an increased amount of plastic build-up on earth. Bioplastics are susceptible to be the solution to this worldwide problem. Currently, there are copious bioplastics with diverse properties that are available to us. And from these potential alternatives of bioplastics, selecting the most suited bioplastic for the injection moulding process is undoubtedly tough. In the present research, an attempt has been made to select the most suited bioplastic for the injection moulding process using a decision-making method, VlseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR) method. The outcome of the VIKOR method deduces that polyglycolic acid (PGA) is the most suited bioplastic for the injection moulding process.
