It is a matter of great pride and immense excitement for all Indians that India has assumed presidency of the august body G20, the Group of Twenty (G20), comprising 19 countries and the European Union, representing approximately 85% of the global GDP, over 75% of the global trade, and about two-thirds of the world population, for a period of one year starting December 1, 2022.

The Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research And Management (IITRAM) is delighted to be part of this watershed moment. It has been tapping into this opportunity to celebrate the true spirit of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ and work towards finding pragmatic global solutions for the wellbeing of all. The Institute has been conducting a plethora of scholarly events and activities, including national and international workshops, conferences, and symposia focusing on basic and applied sciences, engineering disciplines, and social sciences, which capture some of the core mandates of the current G20 agenda. Events are also being organised to provide thrust to the areas of climate action, agriculture, energy and sustainability, entrepreneurship, leadership, health and therapeutics, space science and technology, 5G revolution, history, archaeology, high-energy physics, geotechnical engineering, and more.

In the coming months, IITRAM looks forward to hosting its numerous local, national, and international collaborators and guests to expand the horizons of emerging areas of science and technology and deliberate upon issues of global concern. The diverse and vibrant campus community is primed to execute the upcoming initiatives and play a small part in advancing India’s broader G20 mandates of growth, socio-economic development, diversity, inclusivity, and equity.
More Detail
