In this work, the pertinency of laser drilling operations on GFRP composites has been empirically investigated. The experiments were conducted with the help of CO2-based laser technology. Laser speed and laser power were used as process variables, while the output responses were assessed in the form of kerf width and roundness. Taguchi’s design of experiment, L9 orthogonal array has been used to test parametric pairs of combinations. The utility function approach has been used to achieve parametric optimization of the process. The ideal solution of settings has a laser speed of 15 m/s and a laser power of 150 W.
