Professor Manoj Choudhary, Vice Chancellor of Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, holds a Ph.D. in Communication Systems from IIT Kanpur and a B.E. in Electronics & Communication Engineering from MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur. Currently on lien from IIT Jodhpur, where he is Professor in Electrical Engineering, he has also served as Dean (International, Alumni & Corporate Relations).

With extensive industry experience, Prof. Choudhary has held senior leadership roles at Samsung Electronics and Texas Instruments. At Samsung, he served as Senior Director and Head of System LSI R&D, growing the team to 1,200 engineers and contributing to the world’s first 5G chip and 108 MP mobile camera. He also led 5G, IoT, and wireless research at Samsung’s corporate R&D labs, standardizing technologies like Ultrawide Band and 3G-WLAN interworking, and co-chaired the WiMedia Alliance Technical Steering Committee. At Texas Instruments, he managed wireless modem software development.

An accomplished technologist, he co-authored six IEEE/ECMA standards, holds 30+ patents across the US, Korea, EU, and India, and has received awards including the University Gold Medal and Patent of the Year. He has delivered numerous talks worldwide and co-authored Ultra Wideband Demystified. He serves on India’s 6G Task Force, the Semiconductor Laboratory Management Council, and as an Independent Director on Jodhpur Discom Board.
