At IITRAM, the minor program in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is offered to the meritorious undergraduate students of other Engineering disciplines, who think that knowledge of Computer Science will have an important role to play in their academic and professional career.

The minor in Computer Science and Engineering is designed to expose students to the fundamental courses of Computer Science during semesters 3 to 7. The courses focus on programming skills and methodology, data structures, design and analysis of algorithms, and theoretical background of CSE. To get the minor in CSE, a student is required to earn minimum 15 credits (and complete five CSE courses) during the period of their undergraduate studies. These courses build a solid foundation in Computer Science and enable students to work on interesting problems of interdisciplinary nature. It provides them an edge over other fellow students with similar core engineering background while competing for job placements, self-employment or higher studies.

Following are the list of courses to be offered in CS Minor

  • Data Structures and Algorithms
  • Design and Analysis of Algorithms
  • Theory of Computation
  • Computer Networks
  • Artificial Intelligence
