Analog and Digital Electronics Laboratory
The electronics laboratory at IITRAM is developed considering all the necessary requirements for engineering students to grow in the field of analog and digital electronics.
IITRAM has well equipped computer center with a Multi-processor server, Latest PCs, Wireless Networking Devices with all necessary licensed software and open source software.
Control System Lab
The control system laboratory is designed and equipped to provide hands on experience to the students in the field of control engineering. The control system course is interdisciplinary in the mature and hence the equipment and practical are also of the interdisciplinary nature.
Chemistry lab is a required component of most chemistry courses. Learning lab procedures and performing experiments help students to learn techniques and reinforces textbook concepts. IITRAM has an excellent well-equipped chemistry lab.
Digital English Language Lab ( DELL )
Digital English Language Lab is one of the state-of-the-arts laboratories at Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research and Management which caters the needs of students to improve their language. To meet the global need of Standard English language, IITRAM language lab offers intense practice in listening, speaking, reading and writing (LSRW).
e-Yantra is an initiative to spread education in Embedded systems and Robotics by IIT Bombay sponsored by Ministry of Human Resource Development through the National Mission on Education through ICT (NMEICT).
Electrical Engineering Course has been designed to be the experimental companion to Electrical Engineering Lab of EE 1101. The course is planned to augment the students’ theoretical understanding of important logical principles by engaging them in the real world applications in the lab.
Electrical Machine Lab
We recently developed highly equipped electrical Machine laboratory in our college. It has sufficient space and good quality machines to demonstrate various electrical machines used as drives in industries.
Environmental Engineering Laboratory
With rapid advancements in the field of built environment, Environmental Engineering strives to protect the one world we live in. Environmental Engineering deals with water and air quality, solid waste management, sustainable resource management, and environmental biotechnology, to name a few. With a knowledge in the latest developments in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineers can positively affect the quality of life.
To start with the Geoscience laboratory has procured commonly occurring rocks and minerals, which happen to be the principal earth materials. These include; (i) Set of minerals that exemplify typical properties such as ‘Mohs Scale of Hardness’, lustre, colour, streak cleavage, and specific gravity, (ii) Rock-forming minerals, (iii) Ore minerals, (iv) Industrial minerals and (v) Rocks and minerals used for construction: Dimension-stones, decorative-stones and aggregates.
Physics laboratory is designed in a way to include experiments of various areas of physics such as optics, thermodynamics, electricity and magnetism, mechanics, etc. The main purpose of this laboratory is to give Physics laboratory training to students for developing experimental skills and exposing them to modern techniques.
Fluid mechanics has a wide application in the field of engineering. To an engineer, thus it is crucial to study the basic principles and an application of fluid mechanics. To be specific, for Mechanical Engineering students, designing turbines, heat exchangers etc. are the study of interest. Structure for supplying water, such as irrigation canals, water supply system as well as storage structure like dams and protection against flood, that is flood wall are all fall within the scope of Civil Engineering.
SIEMENS Center of Excellence
MoU is signed by IITRAM with the Siemens Industry Software (INDIA) Pvt. Ltd., Designtech Systems Ltd. and the Industries Commissionerate (Government of Gujarat) to establish Centre of Excellence (CoE) in the field of “Industrial Machinery”.
The CoE comprises following labs : Advanced Manufacturing Lab, Process Instrumentation Lab, Product Design And Validation Lab, Mechatronics Lab, Electrical Lab, Automation Lab, Rapid Prototyping Lab, CNC Programming Lab and CIMS Lab
The Mechanical Engineering Workshop at IITRAM consists of Fitting Shop, Carpentry shop, Welding shop, Machine shop and CNC shop. In addition to housing many conventional machines and equipment, it also has most modern fabrication units in tune with the recent technological developments. Some of these include TIG and MIG welding machines, Tool and Cutter Grinding Machine, CNC Turning and VMC etc. This workshop provides a safe environment for the students under the guidance of highly skilled craftsmen.
Manufacturing Processes Laboratory
The Laboratory for Manufacturing Processes comprises of fundamental experiments that promotes sustainable manufacturing. We aim to achieve leadership in the sustainable manufacturing. The target is to positively influence government, industry, and the society to adopt sustainable practices through education, collaboration, and the development and implementation of appropriate technologies and policies.
Construction Material Laboratory
A Civil engineering graduate has to deal with various materials useful for the construction of buildings, bridges, roads etc. Those materials are bricks, cement, wood, aggregates, concrete, bitumen etc. A civil engineer must have knowledge of physical properties of these materials. So, in Construction Material Laboratory, we are giving the knowledge of density, specific gravity, strength, ductility of various construction materials.
In this laboratory, students will learn to measure and calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain. They will also determine longitudes and latitudes of important features and boundaries in survey areas using total station, levels, and satellite-based global positioning systems (GPS). After collection and recording of information in field, they will process and analyze data to estimate the coordinates and their accuracy measures.
Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory
Geotechnical Engineering is the branch of Civil Engineering concerned with the engineering behavior of earth materials. Geotechnical engineering also has applications in military, mining, petroleum and other engineering disciplines that are concerned with construction occurring on the surface or within the ground.
Heat and Mass Transfer Laboratory
It is essential that the three basic modes of heat transfer; Conduction, Convection and Radiation are understood by students as a foundation for further studies involving heat transfer and temperature measurement.
Materials Science and Engineering Laboratory
The Materials Science and Engineering laboratory at IITRAM has been planned to work with industry, SMEs, state and central government, policy makers and the community on the development of innovative solutions for the challenges related to sustainability.
Transportation Engineering Laboratory
Future R&D programmes in nutshell of IITRAM will be focus on safe, speedy and efficient road transportation system with minimal cost of travel with efficient transportation infrastructure.
